The material for the test in women is a swab from the cervix or vagina taken into a special kit. A swab from the cervix or vagina is taken in the gynecologist's office by a midwife or doctor in all Luxmed Branches from Monday to Saturday after booking an appointment. Swabs brought from outside are not accepted for the test.
The test should not be performed : - during menstruation, - during treatment with antibiotics, - during treatment with vaginal preparations (globules, creams), - when irrigations are used, - within 48 hours after the last sexual intercourse. If treatment was used, a 3-5 day break is recommended between the end of treatment and the test.
Moisturizers, intimate hygiene products, contraceptive gels (with the exception of Advantage - S ® Bioadhesive Contraceptive Gel) do not interfere with the test.
For men
In men, the material for the test is a swab from the urethra, taken in the midwife's office by a midwife or in the urologist's office by a doctor in all Luxmed branches from Monday to Saturday after prior appointment. Before taking the material for the test you should not: - use antibiotics, medicinal creams, - wash genitals for at least 6 hours, - have intercourse for at least 24 hours.
Notes for the study/treatment will also be available once the booking is approved.
